Social Media Policy

Indigo Shire Council uses social media to connect and engage with the community, promote council services, programs, initiatives and events, and build community awareness of local issues.

This policy applies to Councillors and all Indigo Shire employees and volunteers as it pertains to Council’s managed social media presence and the representation of Council on social media. It is aligned with both the Councillor Code of Conduct and Employee Code of Conduct.

The policy was adopted by Council on Tuesday 26 April 2022 and replaces the existing 2018 policy.
