We have a number of committees to provide advice and information on a range of specialist areas and to manage Council facilities.
Advisory Committees are established and abolished by Council and support specific areas of interest, often addressing strategies identified in the Council Plan. These committees are composed of specific skills-based and special interest positions.
Advisory Committees also have no delegated powers but all have common core requirements and specific duties which are listed in the Terms of Reference of each committee.
The only exception is the Audit Committee, which operates under Sections 53 and 54 of the Local Government Act 2020, and is governed by a Charter document.
For Committee meetings that are open to the public, meeting details will be advertised on each individual committee's page below. To confirm times and places, please contact Customer Service on 1300 365 003 or email info@indigoshire.vic.gov.au.
