Domestic Animal Management Plan

Councils in Victoria are required by the Domestic Animals Act 1994, to prepare and implement a Domestic Animal Management Plan every four years with the objective to outline Council’s plans for animal management.

The purpose of the plan is to provide a long-term strategy for the care and management of domestic animals in Indigo Shire, to increase and enforce compliance, animal registrations, welfare objectives and responsible pet ownership.

This plan was adopted by Council on Tuesday 14 December 2021.
