About me
I'm humbled to be elected to serve our community and I am passionate about contributing to a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive Indigo. I'm committed to being a well-informed and well-considered Councillor, with a thirst for knowledge and an openness for productive and respectful debate.
I believe in the power of community to drive lasting positive change and am always eager to collaborate on ideas that enhance and promote Indigo as a great place to live, work and visit.
What I would like to achieve
As a councillor, my focus will be on delivering tangible outcomes that enhance the lives of our residents and position Indigo Shire for a prosperous and sustainable future.
Over the next four years, my priorities are:
1. Community Engagement – Strengthening communication and collaboration with residents and businesses. I will work to ensure the community feels heard and valued in decision-making processes, creating a stronger sense of connection and trust between council and the community.
2. Infrastructure Improvements – Maintaining and upgrading our roads, parks, and public facilities is critical to improving liveability across the Shire. I am committed to ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, and when they aren’t, interrogating why.
3. Driving Economic Growth – By supporting sustainable population growth, boosting tourism, and attracting investment, I aim to strengthen our local economy. Creating jobs, encouraging local businesses, and promoting Indigo Shire as a must-visit destination will remain key priorities.
4. Celebrating Our Cultural Heritage – Indigo Shire’s history is one of its greatest assets. I am committed to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage while ensuring that future growth and development respect and complement our unique character.
5. Environmental Sustainability – Protecting our natural environment is crucial to the Shire’s future. I will champion initiatives that promote sustainability, protect our natural resources, and address the challenges of climate change to ensure a healthy and thriving community for generations to come.
These priorities reflect my passion for supporting the people, places, and environment that make Indigo Shire such a special place to live, work and visit. I look forward to working closely with the community to bring these goals to life.
