Chiltern Community Hub

The brand new, multi-million dollar Chiltern Community Hub opened on Monday 31 July, 2023.

The $4.13M facility was funded by a $2.5M grant from the Victorian Government, $1.1M from the Federal Government and $530,000 contribution from Council and houses our Customer Experience Centre, library and Maternal and Child Health Service as well as NERPSA Childcare and kindergarten services.

A new community gathering space

A community gathering space that consolidated various community services and created an inclusive, welcoming space for all residents was identified as a top priority when the Chiltern Placemaking and Structure Plan was adopted by Council in 2016.

The Chiltern Community Hub provides a community connection point for meeting with friends, neighbours and family, as well as integrated Council services - all under one roof.

Integrated Council services

The following Council services are conveniently located at 50-52 Main Street, Chiltern:

Customer Experience: open from 9am - 5pm every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Chiltern Library: open from 9am - 5pm every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 9.30am - midday Saturday
Maternal and Child Health Services: available every Tuesday

NERPSA Childcare and Kindergarten services are also located here.
