The 2 day Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is for adults who work, live with, or care for adolescents, such as school staff, parents, sports coaches, community group leaders and youth workers.
Delivered by expert facilitator, Nick from The Mental Health Coach you will learn how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental illness, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical evidence-based action plan.

• Depression and anxiety • Psychosis • Substance use problems • Eating disorders
Mental health crises covered • Suicidal thoughts and behaviours • Non-suicidal self-injury and self-harm • Panic attacks • Traumatic events • Severe psychotic states • Severe effects of alcohol or other drug use • Aggressive behaviours.
