Indigo Shire Libraries: Your Books, Your Way!
We provide free fortnightly deliveries of library materials to those who have difficulty getting to the library. This service provides equitable access and ensures that you can enjoy the benefits of the library even if you are not able to attend the library branch.
The home delivery service is available for:
People who have illnesses, disabilities or other barriers which prevent them from accessing a library. These conditions may be temporary, recurring or permanent.
People who are able to visit a library, but because of frailty or disability are unable to carry items home.
People who live in residential establishments, such as nursing homes, hostels, supported-accommodation houses, hospitals or prisons.
People who are engaged in full-time care for people.
Young children who are in the care of any of the above groups.
After you have expressed your interest in the service, library staff will give you a call to discuss your eligibility and reading interests. Library items will be delivered to your home and exchanged on a fortnightly basis.
Explore our online world with e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, and more, all supported by our friendly staff.
