Saturday Stories

Two young boys looking at a book.

Saturday stories aims to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of fathers, male role models and families reading with their children, particularly in their early developmental years.

Reading with your children not only helps them to develop a love of reading, but also strengthens their literacy skills, models positive reading behaviour and builds children’s, particularly boys, self-esteem around reading which is a fundamental life skill.

Our regular Saturday Stories programming will take during the summer school holidays and regular programming will recommence when school goes back on January 30, 2023.

We wish all of our families a wonderful holiday break and look forward to welcoming you into our libraries throughout the summer months.
