We recognise the important role sport, recreation and physical activity has in creating liveable communities and in contributing to the health and wellbeing of our community.
We also recognise that the sport and recreation landscape is constantly changing and in order to be successful and sustainable, Council, its partners, clubs and organisations need to be informed, skilled, proactive and innovative.
The Active Indigo Recreation Strategy provides the framework for change.
Active Indigo was developed with input from community members, community organisations, sporting clubs, sporting associations, local health service providers and the state Government and was adopted by Council on 26 June, 2018.
