Beechworth Health Service and Indigo Shire Council have established Cool Relief Spaces, which provide refuge for people during extreme heat conditions, in Beechworth, Chiltern, Kiewa, Tangambalanga, Rutherglen and Yackandandah.
Businesses and organisations with air conditioning and seating space are being asked to provide water for those seeking relief from the heat.
