Totally Renewable Beechworth Totally renewable Beechworth promotes and supports the uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency to benefit the natural environment and the social and economic wellbeing of the Beechworth community. Their vision is for Beechworth and the 3747 region to be powered by 100% renewable energy by 2030.
Totally Renewable Yackandandah Totally Renewable Yack is a 100% volunteer run community group with the lofty goal of powering the small Victorian town of Yackandandah with 100% renewable energy, giving resilience, savings, lower emissions and showing that it can be done.
Wooragee Landcare Group The Wooragee Landcare Group area covers the upper reaches of the Reedy Creek, including the Wooragee and Woolshed valleys. They welcome people living outside our catchment to become members.
Totally Renewable Indigo North Totally Renewable Indigo North (TRIN) is a community group formed to encourage people in the Indigo North area to power their townships, homes and businesses with 100% renewable energy.Towns in Indigo North are Rutherglen, Chiltern, Wahgunyah and Barnawartha.
Beechworth Urban Landcare & Sustainability Beechworth Urban Landcare and Sustainability Group love growing food, planting trees, riding bikes, building nesting boxes, swapping seeds and general hearty goodness. BULS are independent and community focused, and their goal is to create a supportive culture for understanding, inspiration, action and hope from which the wider Beechworth community can grow a sustainable future together.
Rutherglen Landcare Group This group covers areas along the Murray River and around Rutherglen, including Browns Plains. Rutherglen Landcare has a strong focus on revegetation and, since 1996, has seen landholders plant over half a million indigenous trees and shrubs.
Yackandandah Landcare Network This group has regular working bees along Yackandandah Creek within the Recreation Reserve of Yackandandah. They are an independent group under the governance umbrella of the Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups Inc.
Stanley Landcare Group This group covers the area around Stanley, near Beechworth. The Stanley Landcare Group formed in 2000. The group aims to promote the Landcare ethic in our area and improve the natural environment surrounding Stanley. New members are always welcome!
Ovens Landcare Network The Ovens Landcare Network Inc (OLN) is a community-driven organisation that works to support the efforts of Landcare groups in the Ovens River, King River, and Black Dog Creek catchments. They undertake larger projects (on-ground & educational) which encompass numerous groups and have a benefit across the network area.
Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups Work with Independent groups Baranduda and Yackandandah Creek and sub groups Kiewa-Tangambalanga-Bonegilla, Kergunyah, Gundowring, Upper Kiewa, Dederang Primary School, local communities and the North East CMA to improve the long-term sustainability of farming and the environment in North East Victoria.
