Kiewa Pavilion Building

Located at the Kiewa Memorial Park, the new Multipurpose pavilion will provide club rooms for both the Kiewa Cricket and Tennis Clubs.  The new construction will be a family and female friendly facility comprising of three change rooms with shower and toilet facilities, umpire facilities, three unisex toilets (including ambulant and accessible), a canteen and storage space and a multipurpose room.

We were successful in securing a grant to partly fund the project from Sport and Recreation Victoria under the Female Friendly Facilities Program and contributions from the Kiewa Cricket Club and the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program will also be added to Council’s Capital works budget allocation to fund the project.

May 2022 Update

Site works to prepare for the construction of the new Kiewa multipurpose pavilion commenced this week, with the demolition of the existing cricket building and tennis shelter.

Local company, Jackson Earthmoving completed the demolition works as In-kind work as part of the community contribution to the project and in a great outcome, almost all of the building materials from the demolished buildings have been salvaged for recycling and reuse.

All of the concrete and bricks will be repurposed into crushed concrete, which is a product used on Council projects as a road base material.

Diverting building waste from landfill and using recycled content in road construction are just some of the ways we are honouring our commitment to Halve Waste.
